Michigan Tech has a reputation as a commanding force in NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey and within all 14 of our NCAA Division II sports. A key component to the longstanding success of our athletic programs is our Strength and Conditioning Department, programming, and staff. The Strength and Conditioning staff work daily with our student-athletes year-round to improve team culture, increase athletic performance and output, create a memorable experience for the student-athletes, and promote health and safety. Our staff strives to integrate programming with a specific focus on injury prevention.
The work we do with our athletes is empirically-based, and as such is also ever-changing. In order to give our student-athletes the best experience and chance at success during their time at Michigan Tech, we need to ensure that our equipment, space, and technology are reflective of current trends, best practices, and what we know our athletes and programs are capable of. Michigan Tech student-athletes work hard in all that they do, including their physical preparation in the weight room. They deserve the best equipment and experience that we can provide to them. Our athletes are dedicated and driven to excel in the classroom and as a member of their team, while also staying connected to the local community through volunteering and mentorship opportunities. Please consider donating to Michigan Tech Strength and Conditioning in order to assist our student-athletes maximize their potential and to assist our staff as they work to deliver a well-rounded experience for our student-athletes.
