Annual giving is an important part of building and continuing tradition and legacy for Michigan Tech athletics. It directly impacts our student-athletes' experience and ensures that our programs have what’s needed to compete, succeed, and grow.
The Husky volleyball team is looking to relocate and renovate a locker room that is just for our team in order to better support our student-athletes for decades to come. The purpose of a locker room in college sports is much more than just a place to get dressed for practice and games. It serves as their home away from home during the school day while waiting to attend class, treatment, meetings, and much more. Some of a team’s most important moments happen in a locker room, including our pre and post-match talks. Student-athletes consider the locker room a sacred space used to mentally prepare for a performance, both individually and as a unit. It also serves as a recruiting tool, a huge factor in our ability to attract the players needed to maintain and build on our success on the court. This project is critically important to our team, its future success, and the well-being of our dedicated student-athletes. Your contribution will directly impact them in a real and meaningful way.
Michigan Tech Volleyball has been a staple of the Athletic Department and the GLIAC for over 40 years and continues to be one of the most successful volleyball programs in the country.
