Student Experience

In addition to staying busy with classes, studying, and research, Tech students participate in many experiences that allow Huskies to grow, serve, connect, and lead — and have a little fun! These unique opportunities allow our students to create memories and leave ready to create the future.

Support Student Experiences at Michigan Tech

With more than 240 student clubs and organizations (including honor societies and Greek life), and year-round outdoor adventures in the Keweenaw, Michigan Tech students find ways to get involved beyond the classroom. Your support of student experience initiatives will help provide Huskies with unique and memorable opportunities while earning their Michigan Tech degree.

Some favorite student experiences include:

  • Broomball and ice bowling
  • Playing along with the world-famous Pep Band
  • Designing, duct-taping, and racing cardboard boats
  • Building life-sized snow statues during Winter Carnival
  • Checking out the Northern Lights
  • Skiing, biking, and hiking on the Tech Trails
  • Traveling with the Mind Trekkers to share the power of STEM
